Building Partnerships in Southeast Asia and Building Partnerships in China are two separate minor (elective) programmes offered by the Amsterdam School of International Business (AMSIB) - a faculty of the Amsterdam University of Applied Science. In these programmes, students learn the skills needed for building professional relationships in an international context and experience it in practice.

  • The minors are 30 ECTS (credits).

  • The minors are open to all students (of the AUAS (HvA) and other universities), no matter what study or specialisation you are doing.

  • No specific prior knowledge required, all subjects start at entry level
  • Duration of the course: 1 semester (approximately 6 months)

  • Start: End of August and end of January (depending on AUAS academic calendar)

  • One month overseas trip (China or Thailand) are planned for:

    • mid November - mid December (Semester1)

    • mid May / mid June (semester 2)

  • The programmes are taught in English

  • An international team of faculty offers you a broad array of subjects

This course challenges you to open your mind to another culture, to work with people from various backgrounds, ages and cultures. There is also the personal challenge in learning how to manage your time while dealing with studying, planning an assignment, working with a partner, finding and reporting to a company, researching, networking, making presentations, completing a report, fitting into a group, culture shock, and balancing your personal lifestyle with both the group’s and daily programming requirements. And all that in an international environment.

We believe this Minor will give you a varied, instructive and rewarding experience and will be excellent for your career and be a true lifetime experience!

We look forward to getting to know you!

Businesses and other organisations that look for students to help them to explore the Asian market can join in the programme as a Commissioning Organisation (offering an assignment to the students) click here.
